A Walk in the Park

The phrase ‘it’s a walk in the park’ is often associated with something done with ease. The past two months have in no way been a walk in the park. However, this week our boys finished up their school year. They did so much differently than they planned, and there were disappointments along the way. I’m so proud of how they adapted to the constantly changing “normal” to cross that finish line this week. It’s another reminder of how different their lives look from mine as a child. Their experience, knowledge, and maturity impress me daily. It’s both an honor, and a challenge. To raise the next generation is no walk in the park, but I believe taking time to walk along side them through the park and through the storms will make a difference.
