“Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105

Walking along these trails over the past few weeks reminded me of running on these same trails at night. The light of my headlamp gave new meaning to this verse. As I navigated these trails full of roots, rocks, and hills I found that my light was critical for each step I was about to take. It was critical to know I was on the right path, and where I was headed. However, having what I needed to light the path as I took each step forward was critical. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t trip and stumble a couple of times, but I kept moving forward using the light I had. I’m thankful that I didn’t let the fear of falling, the fear of losing my way, or the fear of the unknown stop me from trying. I think it’s important right now that we remember to use the light we have for our path, and cautiously but diligently continue moving forward. What is your next step?
